I am Sonia. A wife, a mother of two girls, and a woman learning to live life as it unfolds.
Our home is in California, where life moves quickly, but I try to hold on to the quiet moments in between. The mornings with my daughters, the dinners around the table, the recipes slowly coming together in my kitchen, and the small memories that shape our everyday life.
Motherhood changed everything for me. It made life fuller, louder, and sometimes a little chaotic, but it also made the smallest moments feel meaningful. A quiet cup of tea. A homemade meal. Watching my daughters grow and discovering the kind of mother and woman I want to be along the way.
This space began as a way for me to share those moments.

In Notes From Home, I share the thoughts and stories that stay with me long after the day ends. In From My Kitchen, I share the recipes that bring my family to the table. And in between, I am simply sharing life as it unfolds.

Behind everything I share here is the little team that fills our home with love, noise, laughter, and sometimes a little chaos. They are the reason this space exists and the reason life here is never boring.
My husband Faraaz is an ER physician who spends his days helping people in some of the most critical moments of their lives. His work is demanding, but somehow he still comes home with the patience and calm our family needs.
He supports every idea I come up with, listens to my endless thoughts about recipes and blog posts, and reminds me that even on the busiest days family comes first.
To our girls he is simply daddy, the one who makes them laugh the hardest.
Hannah is almost three and already has the biggest personality in the house. She loves talking, asking questions, helping me in the kitchen, and flipping through her favorite books.
Some days she is my little assistant chef and other days she is simply there for the snacks. Either way she keeps our home full of energy and laughter.
Ayla is one year old and already the happiest little eater in the house. She loves trying all kinds of food and never says no to a new bite.
Her favorite place is wherever mommy and daddy are, usually right next to her big sister watching everything with the sweetest smile
Peaches is our ten year old Yorkie who has been part of our family long before the girls arrived. She loves watching over them, following them around the house, and patiently waiting for treats.
She may be small, but she definitely believes she runs the house.
